Newburgh Open Studios is in two weeks! I live and work in Newburgh, but instead of opening my studio that weekend (since it's on the third floor in my apartment) I plan to participate by installing some paintings in the storefront window of 87 Liberty St, along the walking trail between other locations, and around the corner from Newburgh Art Supply at 5 Grand St, where visitors may pick up maps. I will not be in the window myself, but I may be nearby, checking out other artists' studios.

Two more small paintings from the amusement park visit last month. I'm still familiarizing myself with the new blog/website/email setup, as well as the tools on my phone and how they all work together. That is, they work together when/if I understand how to use them.
There was a building shaped like a loaf of bread that contained a frozen yogurt stand, which makes for an odd painting unless you know what you're looking at- meaning you grew up exclaiming at the building shaped like a loaf of bread every time you went to Knoebel's (which I didn't). But that's what makes it charming. The other is from the museum, some cheerful relics from their roller rink. |
