hug

I painted this big hug 15 yrs ago. Today I started to critique it as a heavy-handed art piece, but I know that it was a simple emotional response to something bigger than I feared I could handle or understand. Through all that anger and fear, I saw people supporting each other and that was mostly what my heart had room for at the time.
