Take the A

I was driving near my old neighborhood in upper Manhattan and decided to see if one of my favorite subjects was still there (I knew it would be), this lovely subway sign at the A stop in Fort Tryon park. So many things I've photographed and painted (like the first phone booth) seem to disappear, as if I'd found them just in time. But there's no reason this would have gone anywhere.
